Encouraging employees with thier CSR efforts
When thinking of corporate social responsibility (CSR), the focus tends to be at the organisational level and on what organisations 'do' which is socially responsible. It is argued that greater attention also needs to be placed within the organisation, on the employees. How can we encourage employees to further their individual social responsibility efforts?
Dr Nishat Babu, lecturer in work psychology will focus on research conducted at Aston Business School on a number of organisational factors that may be relevant in promoting employee social responsibility efforts.
We will be joined by LoveBrum, a registered charity that supports hidden gem projects across Birmingham that are often volunteer led and that deliver real change. Chairman Tim Andrews and Trustee Saleem Ahmed will share the valuable impact individual and patron membership, fundraising and volunteering makes, enabling them to support up to 12 projects per year. Every penny raised stays in Birmingham and goes straight to the chosen causes. LoveBrum encourage everyone to get involved and unite businesses and individuals across Birmingham.
