GDPR/Cyber Issues

Cyber-attacks are a huge concern for all businesses which conduct business on line. Businesses that suffer data breaches will be effected by the General Data Protection Regulation (which represents the biggest shake up of data protection rules in many years) which comes into force in May 2018 bringing with it tough fines for those that fail to comply.

What would you do if your company suffered a cyber-attack and lost data?

Join data breach and cyber specialists from global law firm Squire Patton Boggs for a complimentary work shop which will look at a case study reflecting the types of breach, problems and issues that they have helped clients with. The team of experts will guide you through how to cope with and recover from the initial crisis and things you can do to reduce the effect of a cyber-attack. They will also answer your questions about GDPR.

You will also have the opportunity to meet with the experts for a complimentary session after the workshop to discuss any specific concerns that you may have in this area.

The workshop will be led by:

Stuart James who is a partner in Squire Patton Boggs' Intellectual Property and Information Technology Practice. Stuart advises clients on a wide range of commercial and IT contracts, including major distribution, logistics, outsourcing, shared services and joint ventures and around data protection issues.

Garon Anthony who is a partner in Squire Patton Boggs' global litigation practice. Garon specialises in resolving disputes for commercial clients in the financial services and insurance sectors especially around cyber liability issues.
