Sanitell Cleaning Services have increased their company visibility with the assistance of the GBSLEP Growth Hub. The business offers commercial and domestic cleaning services in the West Midlands, their ethos being high quality cleaning at an affordable cost. Rose-Marie Shields-Radcliffe, Managing Director, stated “we ensure to use eco-friendly chemicals in order to protect the environment. In regard to staff, we make sure that we adhere to social responsibilities so we endeavour to employ staff that may be less advanced and live in the area that the business is in”.
An aim that Rose-Marie had for the company was to increase their brand awareness. In efforts to do so, she registered with FinditinBirmingham and that’s where she saw the GBSLEP Growth Hub. “I looked at the packages and I saw what the Growth Hub had to offer, and I realised that they would be beneficial for me to scale up my company” – Rose-Marie, Managing Director.
She got in contact with the team and was pleased with the help she received. Rose-Marie explained, “before coming to the Growth Hub, I don’t think that we were really well known but since coming to the Growth Hub, I really have had the opportunity to link with different services. Therefore, I think we’re more visible now”.
As well as being able to network with businesses, Rose-Marie also participated in training and in programmes that the Growth Hub offers. She said “I had the opportunity to be with a Marketing student and they did research for our business, called us in and gave us some findings. One of the findings was that our logo wasn’t visible and since then we’ve changed our logo. Our website wasn’t very good and since then we have a new website also.” These changes to the marketing of Sanitell Cleaning Services have enhanced their branding.
Sandra Cunningham, one of the Growth Hub’s SFEDI accredited Business Advisers, directed Rose-Marie to a series of Digital Skills webinars. This aimed to help business owners to learn how to make their businesses more visible on social media, to improve their marketing skills and more, Rose-Marie described the webinars as “very helpful”.
The service that Rose-Marie (Managing Director, Sanitell Cleaning Services) was most impressed with was the business training programme ahead of the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She explained “I’ve always wanted to know how to write bids, but it was costly and something that I was unable to afford. So, to have the opportunity to be in the training, to be able to know how to write bids, how to do pricing, and things like that, was really good.”
Rose-Marie is very appreciative of the support that the Growth Hub provided to Sanitell Cleaning Services, “thanks to the company for giving me these opportunities, especially being able to attend the webinars and to have the opportunities to scale up my company”. A great illustration of the different programmes and services provided to improve and develop businesses of all sizes.
