service run by Aston Law School students, under the supervision of a
solicitor.
Aston Law Clinic,
as part of Aston Law School, roots its approach in the business environment. We
provide a range of legal services for:
- Entrepreneurs
- Start-ups
- Small
Businesses
- Social
Enterprises
- Charities
Employment Law
We provide advice on
general HR issues within a business, as well as assisting with the drafting of
documents such as employment contracts and HR policies.
We cannot act for you
in Employment Tribunals or litigated matters.

clinic runs from the 3rd floor of Birmingham Library each
Wednesday from 1pm – 3pm, by appointment only.

Intellectual
Property
Open during term time only
We carry out
intellectual property health checks for businesses. We also host training
sessions and support with drafting materials to increase awareness of
intellectual property issues.
We are unable to
register trademarks or patents for you.
General Business
Clinic
We can assist with
issues such as reviewing a lease for a business taking on its first premises,
making sure that a new website has an appropriate privacy policy, drafting
standard terms and conditions of business or looking over a business plan to
flag any legal issues.
We are unable to
assist with shareholder agreements, tax advice or with any litigated
matters.
- Our
General Business Clinic runs from every Wednesday afternoon from
10th October 2018. It operates during term time and is an
appointment-only service.
