Area:

Description:

"Diverse Supply Chains (DSC) is a European Regional Develop Fund (ERDF) funded project that will assist diverse and minority-owned businesses to enter the supply chains of major contractors/organisations. The aim of this project is to facilitate relationships between diverse businesses(*) and large private and public sector corporate contractors. The benefits to the diverse SMEs include: higher turnover and jobs created in diverse companies; access to a wider and more diverse supply chain, managing risk and increasing potential for innovative products; helping to elevate your CSR reputation; increased confidence and aspirations amongst diverse businesses to compete for tenders from major contractors, leading to greater tendering activity from minority owned businesses; access to bespoke business support and training with the potential to tender for private and public organisations. The benefits to the large organisations taking part include accessing a diverse and innovative base of companies that most others will not have access to, as well as helping them improve and highlight their CSR responsibilities. The project is running until October 2022.

(*) In this project, diverse businesses are those owned and managed by women (particularly women with children), people with limiting disabilities, people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT+), ethnic minorities and young entrepreneurs.  A business is eligible for the project if one or more of the directors of the company is from one of these specified groups.”
