SME Restart - Business recovery grants of £1,000 - £5,000


Description:

On 30 July, government announced that thousands of smaller businesses in England are set to benefit from £20 million of new government funding to help them recover from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

This has been distributed across England's Growth Hubs. Here are the details for the grants available through the GBSLEP Growth Hub.

Eligibility criteria:

Business size: 5 - 9 employees

Sectors:

  • Visitor economy 
  • Construction 
  • Manufacturing 
  • Business Services 
  • Creative/Cultural 
  • Life sciences 

The small grants will be £1,000 - £3,000 (or up to £5,000 in exceptional circumstances).   Eligible businesses will be able to apply for grants to help them access new technology and other equipment as well as professional, legal, financial or other advice to help them get back on track. PPE costs are not covered.
