The ESF project subscribes to the GBSLEP Diversity Statement and the Young People’s Strategy - You(th) Matter.

In addition, the Equality and Diversity Action Plan has the following objectives:

Aim to ensure project staff understand the needs of project participants
Aim to ensure marketing reaches intended participants
Aim to ensure access to buildings, to enable project delivery
Aim to ensure accessibility for hearing impaired people
To ensure reasonable adjustments have been made to allow access for participants with disabilities
To ensure religious and cultural needs are met
To ensure participants are aware of the GBSLEP project’s equality and diversity policy, including related policies e.g. anti-bullying
Aim to ensure careers education information advice and guidance (CEIAG) reflects participant needs
To ensure we have the right staff to deliver the right support
Aim to ensure employers receive support from the project to allow them to make reasonable adjustments
To ensure we gain feedback from participants
To ensure participants and project staff can submit grievances and complaints, and that these are dealt with effectively utilising existing policies
To ensure staff have support and reasonable adjustments are made where necessary
To ensure the equality & diversity policy and plan is communicated to staff and participants
